These light nights are playing havoc with our sleeping
patterns so another early start. We
visited the tourist information at Hoylandet and decided to take some time out
and visit the Svartisen Glacier. A small
passenger ferry took us to within three kilometres of the glacier and we
enjoyed a walk in brilliant sunshine up to it. It was our first up-close look
at a glacier – quite a humbling experience, the sheer size of this moving mass
quite takes your breath away.
