After moving round the corner to our new site at Finikouda.
Our first excursion was to the small harbour town of Methoni which under Venetian rule was known as one of the Eyes of Venice and controlled the Pilgrim route to Palestine.
The castle has a Venetian moat and the Bourtzi was fortified by the Turks.
