This is a delightful Medieval hill top town with an amazing main square. This is floodlit at night and is said to be one of the most beautiful in Spain.
At the top of the hill is an Islamic fortress which has now been turned into a Parador.
We climbed the tower of the Iglesia de Santa Maria la Mayor and were treated to a lovely panoramic view of the town and surrounding area.
Lots of narrow winding streets with cobbled surfaces led to the overall charm of this old town.
