Montfrague National Park

We have now moved on to Camping Parque National de Montfrague near Plasencia. This site is wonderfully situated close to the park and the amenities are great. The showers are more like a Tsunami, its like being Jet washed.  Brilliant, ten out of ten. Also Wi Fi, in the van, luxury.
We have had a couple of days of bad weather but it has now cleared to normal Spanish sunny weather. We have visited the park several times during our stay and have been lucky enough to see many of the areas attractions, bird wise. We have seen both Griffon and Back Vulture, Red and Black Kite, Egyptian Vulture.

 and the Imperial Eagle.

We had been told of an Eagle Owl, new bird for us, very well hidden and indeed it took another watcher to point him or her out to us.

Last of all, the star of the show for us was the Black Stork which we had also never seen before.

We also met the park's tame fox.
