Cadiz and Carnival

We made two visits to Cadiz, the first by car to look at the old town.
We went on two walking tours, the first around the defensive walls with its waterfront gardens and then through the old town visiting the markets and Cathedral.

Our next visit was a trip to the Carnival organised by Marie, one of our pals at the campsite. The weather was good and the streets were a little busier than our last visit. We again walked around the old town to see the choirs performing on the trailers. We then walked back to the main street to grab a spot to watch the parade. The floats were amazing, the work put into them was obvious and as night fell the lights were spectacular. After the show the streets were inches deep in confetti and we sat on deckchairs in the middle of the road having coffee and cake. Typical Brits.. A great day was had by all.. Thanks Marie.
