Raetiki, Tongariro and the Forgotten World Highway

 

 

We continued our route through Whanganui River National Park and came out at Raetiki

 

 

 

This is really wild country.

 

 

We went part the viaduct and up to Whapkapapa and the

Bayview chateau at Tongariro. Unfortunately the weather was too bad to do the walk so we carried on.

 

 

Our route took us back down the Forgotten World Highway, the weather was not much better than last time we drove down it.  We found a camperstop for the night near Mt Damper Falls.
