Arthurs Pass

We awoke to clear skies so made a decision to backtrack to Arthurs Pass to see what we could not see the previous day. The scenery up here is stunning and well worth the return. Rob tried a bit of fishing on the Waimakariri river once again a blank was drawn.

 

At Arthurs Pass we took a walk up to the Devil Punchbowl water fall. We were lucky enough to see a Warbler making its nest by the side of the path

 

Heading back towards Christchurch we stop again to walk to a cave stream and Castle hill, which are limestone formations.
