Praia Centeanes and the Hanging Valleys

We found a new walk along the cliffs from Praia Centeanes. A new feature for us as it was called the Hanging valleys walk. These are areas of undercutting which are so extensive they have left whole shelves of land suspended above the sea.

On our own again

Phil and Val left to start their journey home but did not get as far as we did, they only made it to Portimao. We went back east to Armacao de Pera where we spent a great time last year. We bought a dongle for our lap top so we could get on the internet as the Wi Fi is intermittent here. Redid a few old walks and found some new ones. Getting used to being away again now

Day at the Beach

Had a day on the beach at Praia da Luz. Phil thought he would brave the sea. Silly boy got his trousers wet.

Praia da Luz

Arrived at Camping Valverde, Praia da Luz. Had a Galao on the beach and then walked over the hill with our friends. Kept telling them we did not have to climb the hill, but I lied, AGAIN

Faro

Went to Faro on the bus for the day and showed our friends the sights. Lovely old town. We got to see the church this year and up to the bell tower with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.

Portugal at last.

Finally arrived in Portugal and spent the night at Altura on another beach front Aire where we stayed last year. Next day we carried on th Albufiera where we were invited to join the Camping and Caravan club rally for the night. Had a great time and wonderful meal. Thanks Guys. Next morning we were afloat as it had rained all night. We managed to get ourselves off the pitch with a bit of juggling

Onward ever onward

Spent night in car park at Donastia san Sebastian and enjoyed a nice walk in the sunshine then sat outside and had a drink or two. Nice town and sea front with lovely promenade and beach. Next day we stopped at Palencia a large town with impressive old buildings and another free Aire.
