Sierra de Gredos

Early morning start from the camper stop to head over the mountain pass to the tiny village of Mijares.

The village on the side of the mountain was not the place to take a 7 metre camper van.  The first hairpin was just about manageable, but the next one took a 8 point turn due to parked cars outside a tiny garage and the front wall of a pensioners house who thought we were trying to park it in her living room.  

After all that excitement, the next part of the journey was easy.  Travelling  past Embalse de Cijara and many others that can be found in this area.

We pass through Penarroya and onto Cordoba.

 Tight route through the mountains near Madrid.

Sos Soria El Burgo De Osma Segovia

From our camper stop as Sos del Rey Catolica we head south west towards Soria and on to Burgo De Osma.

 

Heading towards Segovia and Avila.

At Avila we turn south in the direction of Talavera de la Reina to our overnight stop on the edge of the Sierra dos Gredos, at Villanueva de Avila.

Vallee de Salazar

 On Route back down to Pinar San Jose Camping in Zahora.  We travelled down through France and took the Pic D'Orhi col into Spain through the Valley de Salazar and Ochagavia.

                                         

Always heading south we stop for the night at Sos del Rey Catolica.
