From Gythio we take the van northwards to Sparta and Camping Mystras. We arrived lunchtime and in the afternoon went for a walk from Parori village up the gorge.
We reach the small chapel of Hagadhiotissa, set into a cave.
We carry on further up the gorge through some stunning scenery and along an old water course just like the levadas in Madeira. We reach a small chapel at the top ring the bell and return to the village.
We also take a drive to the monastery of Faneromenis, this route took us up a tortuous lane hanging precariously on the cliff edge.
