We left Evormonte behind and set out to cross the border to Spain. Passing on route the extensive marble quarries at Estramoz.
From the main road we got a view of Elvas, and after a stop to check our passports at the Covid border control we entered Spain.
From the road we went through an area where the farms all appeared to be fortified. Some still retaining the keep tower.
Arriving at Caceres we shop at Carrefour, ( Lidl's carpark too small for us), then onto the campsite for the night. The individual toilet and shower facilities at this campsite are unusual but very good.
