Ferry to Mljet from just outside campsite. This island's western point is a national park. The whole island is spectactular with mountainous scenery bright blue seas and vine filled valleys. No motorised vehicles are allowed in the park which has two large salt water lakes with
St Mary's island in the centre of the largest lake. This has a Benedictine monastery on it. The water in the lakes is 4 degrees warmer than the sea and is great for a cool off in the middle of the day. This has been our favourite island to date.
