Sagres & Cabo sao Vincente 15th April

Found another brill site at Sagres and went to the old Napoleonic fortress said to be the site of Henry the Navigators Naval school from the 15th century. They have excavated a pebble compass which they think dates back to that time. Picture shown. Also went to the Cabo sao Vincente lighthouse which is the longest range in Europe. 60 miles.

Salema 12th April

Found a fabulous site at Salema in a N.T English coutry garden setting. Had meal out side in the evening in beautiful surroundings. Then came the dark and out came the mosquitos. We spent most of the night being bitten or chasing them. Moved on next day. Van gave up the ghost on the hill leaving the site. Not a happy bunny.
