We revisited Silves, which we passed through last year. This time we took a better look at the town. It is a beautiful town with an ancient Fort dating from the 15th century. It has a water cistern which held over a million litres of water, which saved the city from siege back in the 16th century. The walk by the river was lovely but we lost the pathway towards the end and ended up in an orange orchard, what a shame, i had to sample some of the fruit.
